WE ARE
commonChord

CommonChord is a West Lothian-based music platform and facilitation project, supporting original artists and cross-cultural musical exchange. We connect musicians with venues, audiences, and each other, creating opportunities for collaboration, performance, and community engagement.

Original Music & Cultural Expression

From experimental sounds to traditional forms, each piece of music reflects a distinct voice and lived experience, shaped by culture, place, and identity. We showcase work from emerging Scottish artists as well as musicians connected to refugee and diaspora communities, highlighting the diversity of contemporary music.

Touring Support & Professional Facilitation

Our team brings extensive experience in live music performance and technical production, enabling us to support touring artists professionally. CommonChord provides practical, locally grounded facilitation, including:

  • Navigating Edinburgh and Central Scotland’s live music scene

  • Identifying suitable venues and performance opportunities

  • Coordinating travel, accommodation, and technical requirements

  • Ensuring smooth, reliable event delivery

This ensures that touring artists can focus on their craft while we handle the logistics and support.

Community Engagement & Connection

Through live events and funded community initiatives, CommonChord fosters dialogue, understanding, and cultural exchange. We help artists connect with audiences, create meaningful experiences, and participate in workshops or collaborative projects that amplify their reach beyond the stage.

Our Commitment

We are committed to nurturing creativity, collaboration, and exchange, helping original music from Scotland and beyond reach audiences and connect communities, all while maintaining professional standards for touring and performance support.
