Mike P Summers is a Central Scotland-based jazz pianist and multi-instrumentalist specialising in nostalgic jazz, classic songs, and timeless melodies. With a performance style influenced by the great traditions of jazz piano, Mike brings warmth, elegance, and a deep appreciation for the music of earlier generations to audiences across a variety of settings.

A former student of renowned jazz and classical pianist Peter Sander, Mike has developed a distinctive style inspired by artists including Ellis Larkins, Fats Waller, Teddy Wilson, Erroll Garner, and Jelly Roll Morton. His performances draw from the golden age of jazz, creating an atmosphere that is both sophisticated and accessible, particularly suited to audiences who enjoy familiar melodies, reminiscence, and the storytelling power of music.

Mike performs as a solo pianist with a self-contained setup, offering flexible performances for care settings, community venues, restaurants, cultural events, and private occasions. He can also expand the line-up when required, bringing additional musicians including his local group, The Barrelhouse Three, for a fuller ensemble experience.
