Arlene Tonner is a versatile singer, choir director and performing arts educator with a lifelong passion for music, performance and community engagement. After gaining an NC in Musical Theatre and a BA (Hons) in Music, she built a career that combines professional performance with music education and community wellbeing.


With over twenty years of experience in community theatre, Arlene performs an engaging repertoire spanning the 1960s to the present day, using high-quality professional backing tracks. Whether presenting timeless classics, contemporary favourites or uplifting singalong sessions, she creates enjoyable musical experiences that connect with audiences of all ages.


Alongside her performing career, Arlene is Principal of the Pauline Quirke Academy of Performing Arts in Livingston, where she inspires young people to develop confidence, creativity and performance skills through drama and music. She also directs the House of Hope Scotland Choir, supporting people affected by breast cancer through the shared wellbeing and social connection that singing brings.


Arlene regularly performs in care homes, supported living services and community settings, including work with adults with learning disabilities through Enable. She tailors every performance to suit her audience, encouraging participation, stimulating memories and creating meaningful moments through music.

She also performs at weddings, corporate events and private functions, bringing professionalism, warmth and versatility to every engagement. 


Whether leading a choir, mentoring young performers or entertaining at a special event, Arlene believes music has the power to connect people, strengthen communities and create lasting memories.
