What it is
CommonChord exists to help music travel—between artists, venues, audiences, and communities.
It began as a platform to support and share original music, especially work shaped by cultural exchange, migration, and lived experience. At its core is the belief that music carries stories, identity, and connection in ways few other things can.
Our focus is on exchange rather than scale, and relationships rather than reach. CommonChord grows deliberately, guided by trust, collaboration, and shared intent—shaped by the people, places, and artists it connects.
We combine this ethos with practical experience in live music performance and technical production, ensuring that touring artists are supported, performances run smoothly, and workshops are delivered professionally.
Our aim is straightforward: to contribute to a live music culture built on openness, curiosity, and shared experience, making it easier for original music—from Scotland and beyond—to find an audience.
